300 sqm of continuous herringbone floors

Reasons to love

The herringbone pattern's elegant vintage look, its orderly geometric extension that dramatically elongates the space — every inch of the home feels refined and tender. A must-have for French style!

And with continuous flooring throughout, the space appears larger and more unified - even the robot vacuum is happy.

We installed new three-layer solid wood flooring: oak surface with a pine base. The footfeel is bouncy and springy, like stepping on a cork — so comfortable.

Our little one spins, jumps, and falls down so many times every day. But the floor has great cushioning; he never cries, just gets up and keeps running.

The Cost of Beauty

But! Beauty truly comes at a cost:

Herringbone flooring is significantly more expensive than regular continuous flooring. The planks cost more, installation costs more, and there's a lot of waste from cutting.

Delicate! Wood flooring really cannot withstand water damage.

Very delicate! You have to accept scratches. If you also have kids at home, be mentally prepared in advance. Toy cars, dining chairs being dragged... one careless move and there's a scratch. Although the wear layer of three-layer solid wood is decent, sharp objects are still its natural enemy. It's like the marks of life — it's up to you whether you can accept that.
